Other classes for ESL students, such as Citizenship, Career-Focused, and Beyond the Basics (“advanced ESL”) are listed on the right under ESL classes. We hope you find these pages useful.
Life is often difficult and we sometimes have a problem we with need help with. There are often people and programs that can us if we can only find them.
Please take a look at our Community Resource page. We recently added a wonderful resource, Wake Network of Care that helps you find services from finding food pantries to finding a bus.
Career & Employment Resources is excited to repeat the Suit Up event with JCPenney. This is the event offered last year that allows our students to shop for professional attire at a deep discount…up to 60% off! . The invitation is extended to our continuing education students again this year.
This year’s event will be Sunday, February 9th 6:00 – 9:00 PM at the JCPenney at North Hills.
Faculty and staff are also able to shop with the discount shopping pass! No RSVP is required. Simply show up with your Wake Tech ID.

Our page of refugee information located under “Student Resources” on the right sidebar has been updated to reflect our newer “Refugee Outreach Literacy Project“.
There is valuable information on the program’s mission and accomplishments as well as various ways you can reach the program’s co-ordinators.
You can also find info on our Community Partners that assist refugee students and a community resource guide.
We will continue to add information on this page about current events that can be of interest to refugee students so keep an eye on it.
Students sometimes struggle with understanding our area’s bus system. The new Bus Transportation Page under the Community Info category gives info on all our local bus systems and links to help you find bus routes to some of our sites.
