Alcohol Awareness Event – Millpond and Main Campus

Wake Tech is hosting Alcohol Awareness Week activities at the various campuses this week.

Arrive Alive Tour – Thursday, April 7, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on the Main Campus, Parking Lot J

In a Drunk Driving Simulator, experience the dangerous effects of driving in a simulated drunk mode, such as delayed response to controls and narrowing of the field of effective vision.  Receive information about the effects of alcohol, facts, figures, and statistics about alcohol and its dangers.  Also, experience the simulated dangers and effects of texting and distracted driving in a high tech simulator.

Community representatives present will include:   Barbara Blackburn-MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), Harriett Southerland-SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving) , Officer Rigsbee-Raleigh Police-Crash Reconstruction Unit, Russell Crawford-AA (Alcoholics Anonymous)  Toni Carter-Southlight
