Last fall, the Beltline Education Center introduced additional add-on classes for students already enrolled in a morning or evening ESL class at WTCC. These classes will be offered again this spring. A new Level 1-2 Literacy class is also being offered .
All these classes have open registration from January 19th until March 10th.
Add-on classes start on Jan 19th and end on March 24th
AFTERNOON CLASSES – Meet Monday & Wednesday, 12:30-2:30 pm
- Early Literacy – in Room 332C.
- This class will be taught by Shelley Lee. She will be working with students on phonemic awareness.
- This would be a great addition for students learning beginning literacy skills.
- Level 3-4 Literacy Class – in Room 342C
- This class is for level 3 and 4 students who need to improve their reading and writing skills.
- Writing Step-by-Step – in Room 325C
- This class is for students in level 5 and 6 who need to improve their writing skills for work or school.
- This class will help you develop your skills while gaining confidence in your writing abilities.
AFTERNOON CLASSES – Meet Tuesday & Thursday, 12:30-2:30 pm
- Level 1-2 Literacy Class – in Room 332C
- This class is for level 1 and 2 students who need to improve their reading and writing skills
- Pronunciation and Grammar – in Room 325C
- Students will work on blends, spelling patterns, and consonant sounds along with learning and practicing grammar rules.
- This class is available for students in levels 4, 5, and 6.
- ABE Writing Class – in Room 320C
- This class is for students in ERV or ABE classes who need to improve their writing skills for work or school.
- This class will help you develop your skills while gaining confidence in your writing abilities.
EVENING CLASSES
- Writing Practice – in room 342C
- In this unique class, you will receive individual attention and guidance from the teacher to improve your writing.
- This class is for students in ESL levels 4, 5, 6, and ERV who want to improve their writing.
- Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 6:30 pm
- Reading & Vocabulary – in room 342C
- Learn creative techniques authors use to express ideas
- Explore various styles of writing including song lyrics and poetry
- Practice pronunciation and speaking by reading aloud
- Experience the places you can go when you read!!
- This class is for students in ESL levels 4, 5, 6, and ERV who want to improve their writing.
- Meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 pm
