Here are 2 resources for anyone with food insecurities. This is a very recent and updated list of Food Pantries and their current hours of operation.
Also, here is a link from Wake County Public Schools with a list of locations, addresses, and times for FREE lunch pickup. Students do NOT have to be present and NO ID is required.
There is also a “hotline” that people can call. NC 2-1-1 can help people with health and human services needs including food, shelter, and much more. For COVID-19 resources, assistance, and updates, residents can just call 2-1-1 (TTY 888-892-1162) or text COVIDNC to 898211.
NC 2-1-1 operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and resources are available in most languages. NC 2-1-1 cannot provide direct medical services and COVID-19 can only be diagnosed by a health care professional.
Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) global pandemic, Wake Tech ESL classes are suspended, except for online classes.
